Mission/Purpose

The mission and purpose of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, under the Lordship of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit, is to fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).  We seek to continue to advance the Kingdom of God through:

 

·         Worship, prayer, and praise.

·         Sharing God’s plan of salvation by witnessing and participation in mission opportunities.

·         Learning the Word (Matthew 11:29) to teach, preach, and to witness to others.

·         Living the Word (Galatians 2:19-21) by following the model of Christ through evangelism and discipleship.

·         Loving others (I John 4:16-21), meeting the needs of others, planning for the rescue and welfare of others; to be forgiving and to encourage
