Youth Ministry

It is our desire to let the youth at Mt. Zion Baptist Church know that they matter and provide them with a place where they are welcomed, heard and accepted into a spiritual family that will not judge them.

We want to respond to the social and spiritual needs of our youth by providing fun programs, activities, and events that will allow them to express their faith through their own words and actions.

We also want to encourage them to use their individual talents in the programs and ministries that interest them in an effort to nurture their growth as people of faith, so that they may follow the example of Christ.

Our Youth Church meets every Sunday except the 2nd Sunday at 10:45am in the Family Life Center.  Youth Church is designed for those who are in Elementary through High School.  We also provide childcare for newborns through preschool in our Nursery during our 10:45am service.

C.Y.P.C (Christian Youth Praising Christ) Bible Study meets every Wednesday at 6pm in the Family Life Center.  C.Y.P.C is designed for those who are in Elementary through High School.

There are multiple ministries that our youth can participate in that help comprise the Youth Ministry.  We have ministries that both teach service and enhance our youth talents.

Candy Stripers and Jr. Nurses, which is part of the Nurses Ministry that is designed for those between the ages of 8-18.

Youth Ushers, which is part of the Ushers Ministry that is designed for those between the ages of 8-18.

Sunbeam/Youth Choir and Zion Melody Choir, which is a part of the Music Ministry, are designed for those who like to sing.  The Sunbeam/Youth Choir is for those between the ages of 5-12 and the Zion Melody Choir is for those between the ages of 13-21.

Genuine Praise Dancers is designed for those who enjoy dancing.  Youth between the ages of 7-18 are welcomed to participate.
