Dr. Curtis Bryant Jr.

Reverend Dr. Curtis Bryant Jr. (@pastor_breezy) is passionate about preaching, teaching, and spreading the Gospel of Christ. He answered his call to ministry at the age of 13 and preached his first sermon at 14. After receiving his Ministerial license in 2008 from Rev. Dr. Lance Watson, he began his pastoral career by serving St. Paul’s Baptist Church of Richmond, VA as the Associate Pastor of Students. In 2014 Rev. Bryant relocated to Chicago, IL to serve the 20,000 members of New Life Covenant Church, as Youth Pastor, under the leadership of Pastor John Hannah. Bryant currently serves the city of Joliet, IL as the Senior Pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.


Dr. Bryant is a native of Richmond, Va. He is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in Business Administration and Management. He furthered his education at the Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University and received his master’s degree in Divinity. In May 2021 Dr. Bryant earned his doctoral degree in homiletics at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, IL, after his successful defense of his thesis titled, “Everyone Eats: Preaching to Inspire Multigenerational Engagement in Worship Beyond Virtual and Traditional Contexts.” Dr. Bryant believes that whenever a sermon is served in the house of God, everyone should leave the preaching moment feeling fed and full.


Dr. Bryant is the proud husband of Taneeya Bryant and father to Corinne Bryant. In 2010, Curtis and Taneeya authored the children’s book ABC’s with GOD. Dr. Bryant is known for communicating the gospel through unforgettable storytelling and illustrations. His desire is that you not only hear the message of Christ but see and experience the gospel of Christ. Dr. Bryant is a writer, mentor, published author, preacher, but most importantly, a servant of the Lord.
