I'M NEW
YOU ARE WELCOME HERE!
Special welcome from our Pastor
Today is a great day to worship God and connect. Whether you’re visiting for the first time, returning after some time away, or looking for a new church home, we want you to know you are welcome here. Mt. Zion is a place where you can grow in faith, find community, and experience God’s love in a meaningful way.
We invite you to explore, connect, hug, and become part of the family…because you are. God loves you, Zion loves you, and there’s nothing you can do about it!
You are WELCOME to bring your family
Zion has a place for your children and teens. We serve everyone at every life stage. Feel free to entrust us with you smaller children in our nursery while you worship. We have programming for grades Kindergarten – 5th.
Our teens have a space to worship too! Middle School and High School students meet in separate classes to engage in age-appropriate lessons. All Children and Youth meet Sunday mornings in the Family Life Center.

You are WELCOME to worship freely

Come as you are and leave better than you came! We gather for several teaching and worship sessions throughout the week including Sunday School, Bible Study, Small Groups, and Sunday Worship. Sunday’s services begin at 10:00am and are usually 90 minutes.
Feel free to wear whatever is comfortable and appropriate. We are a casual atmosphere. Don’t feel pressured to dress up unless you desire to. We are less concerned about what you wear – we’re just glad you came.
YOU ARE WELCOME HERE!

We are a family of faith, and we are always excited to connect with new family members – that means you! We pride ourselves on extending hospitality and the love of Christ whenever you walk through the doors or visit online. If you are visiting with us for the first time in service, let us know. We have a welcome gift waiting for you.
If you have questions about the church, looking to volunteer, ready to join, or want to speak with pastor, scan the QR Code and connect with us. God loves you, and so do we!
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
When are your services?
Sunday worship begins at 10:00am and lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. You are invited to join us for Sunday School at 8:30am (just before service) and Bible Study every Wednesday at either 10:00am or 7:00pm.
What should I expect from service?
Expect an engaging, Christo-centric worship experience. The music is a blend of contemporary and African American inspired hymns. The preaching is biblically rooted with a delivery that engages everyone. We share relevant messages that address life, social issues, and faith formation, through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We pride ourselves on hospitality – expect us to treat you like family from the moment you step in the sanctuary. Above all, expect to leave better than how you came.
What should I wear?
Casual and comfortable attire is recommended. We welcome those who dress in their Sunday best and those who come in jeans and jerseys. Our request is that your attire remain appropriate. We’re not overly concerned about what you wear, we’re just glad you come.
Where do my children and teens go?
Our children and teens have space to worship on Sunday morning in the Family Life Center. Students gather in age-appropriate groups including nursery, PreK-K, 1st – 2nd grade, 3rd – 5th grade, Junior High, and High School. Please see our Children and Youth Pages for more information.
Is transportation provided?
Our transportation ministry is pleased to serve those who live in the Joliet area. If you need a ride to and from church, call the church office Monday – Thursday, between 10:00am and 3:00pm and you’ll be added to the pick-up list for the upcoming Sunday.
