ANNOUNCEMENTS
PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THE IMPORTANT DATES BELOW
• Discipleship Ministry will meet Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at 7:00
PM.
• Zion Melody will rehearse each Saturday at 1:00 PM in the month
of July.
• Bible Study will resume Wednesday July 28th. Please join us at 10:00 AM or at 7 PM.
• The Official Leadership Meeting is August 7, 2010 at 9:30 AM
• Zion Melody Choir will host a Back to School Musical, Sunday
August 15th at 4:00 pm.

LEBANON DISTRICT
The Lebanon District Annual Session will be held at Second
Baptist Church the week of August 16-19 beginning at 7:00 p.m.
nightly. All meetings at Mt Zion have been canceled each day.
Please note the list below of the Auxiliaries that are in charge
each night.
• Monday - Ushers and Nurses
• Tuesday - Youth and Laymen
• Wednesday - Woman's Auxiliary
• Thursday - Parent Body

LOVE, SUPPORT AND PRAYER AT ZION
One of the many ministry goals that we have here at Zion is to
provide support to each member of the congregation which
includes Prayer and Personal Visitation. It would be very
helpful for our Pastoral Staff, Prayer Team, Deacons and
Deaconess to be notified when a member of our congregation has
been hospitalized, has become ill, have become homebound or
would like to be placed on the prayer list. Please take a moment
to contact the Church Office when you need support or to provide
information. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the
elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him
with oil in the name of the Lord. James 5:14 NKJV

Budget by
August 21, 2010

NEED A RIDE?
You may request transportation by calling the church office at
least 24 hours in advance of needing a ride. You will be asked
to provide your name, address, phone number and the service that
you would like to attend. Please call the church office
815-723-9445 ext. 15.
MINISTRY TRANSPORTATION REQUESTS
Each Ministry is being asked to coordinate with the
Transportation Ministry for any vehicle needs 30 days in advance
of your planned event. Request that are less than 30 days prior
to the event will be reviewed, but may not be accommodated.
EVENT PLANNING
If you need the use of a Class Room, the Sanctuary or the Family
Life Center, before you plan an event or meeting, please contact
the church office to secure a facility use agreement.
JACOB SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
Are you a interested in attending Lewis University or the
College of St. Francis? Scholarship money is still available.
Applications are available outside of the church office. The
deadline for application submission is August 1, 2010.
COMMUNITY YOUTH EVENTS
• Youth Worship Service, Shiloh M.B. 200, Rev. Walton Dr.,
Friday, August 6, 2010 at 7:00 PM. Their theme is “Stand out and
Speak Up”, And do not be conformed to this world, but be
transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove
what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans
12:2
• Power packed sleepover event for girls 7th – 12th grade will be
held at the Holiday Inn, 411 S. Larkin Ave, August 6, 2010. The
sleepover is designed to inspire teenage girls to lead balanced,
confident and productive lives. Information is available outside
the church office. The event is being sponsored by Shine On
Purpose, INC.
